Columbus Railway

This was the first lithograph that I ever did, and I don't think that it turned out all too bad! This is a bridge that can be found in downtown Columbus, OH on the Scioto River, near Highbank park. The piece is 11.75"x8.5" and is also a bleed print. The piece is best to be mounted to show the deckled edges. The paper used is a creamy white that is contrasted by the matte black ink.

This is the first woodcut that I ever did. I had a really fun experience carving wood for the first time. Breaking from the original square form to create an organic frame of reference for the image. This is also a hand rubbed printed piece, using oil based inks on handmade Japanese paper.

This is the house that I grew up in. I am from Bridgeport, Michigan, which is a small area outside of Saginaw. Raised here in this old farmhouse I decided to create a print that is a combination of a lithograph and silkscreen, one color each. The silkscreen color pull is the faded blue and the lithograph is the black.
